A Blessed Christmas. (:

Gina's right.
We have spent the past few years of Christmas together.
Just not this year.

My mum has the habit, ever since i was little,
to organise a Christmas party.
We would have games, food, and loads of merriment.

3 years back, I invited Gina and her sister, Joey, to my mum's Christmas Party.
I guess it was like the first time Gina went to a Chritmas party.
Am I right?
She had fun.
I had fun :)
Everyone had fun :)

The following year, we decided to plan our own Party ;)
Alison was gracious enough to book the function room a her house for us.
We were all excited, planning the games and preparing some food.
The games were of outmost importance.
We wanted to make sure our friends had fun :)
We even agreed on a theme.
It was Retro.

Gina and I were so excited, we got our costumes real quickly from M'sia,
when we went there on holiday together with her family, and Alison.
She bought a Stripped attire and a black hat,
I bought a Polka-Dotted attire and a Polka-Dotted hat.

And the one on the left is Sherene, with her Retro outfit :)

We were glad most of our friends made an effort in their retro dressing :)

We copied my mum's cute peg game, and played it at our party too.

As you can see in the background of these photos,

there are some circles on the walls.

Gina and I thought of the design and decorated the walls.

We kinda felt the retro means circles, so circles go on the walls.

Haa...

Then, last year, we had another Christmas cum New Year party.

This time, held at Suhendra's condo's function room.

This time, the theme was Funky Punky Monkey.

So bascially, you just had to dress funky, and/or punky.

haha...or even Monkey if you wanted to.

Similarly, we had games, food, and deco.

Looking at these photos, I'm betting my friends had a blast. ;)

i just realised smth..
almost every xmas ever since ive got to knw mel had been spent with mel and her family..
let me see..
sec 1...guess we arent tt close yet huh..
prob it started in sec 2..
i still remembered what i wore...a black sleeveless top and a red skirt? (well, at least thats what i have in mind..but judging on how poor my memory is..its prob a little off..)
and i remember tt at tt point of time..
how much effort we put in trying to dress stephanie(mel's cousin) up..
oh boy..one cant imagine how hard it was to make her wear a simple skirt and a sleeveless top at tt time..
now she's wearing it all the time! lol! how people change..
i can only vaguely remember the details of the parties..
theres this game..(for adults only)
haha...clothes pegs were clipped all over the guys' body...
and their blindfolded wives have to search for the pegs!
and theres another one also!
whereby the guy will have to use his upperlip to kiss the cardboard while the gurl will have to use her lower lip to kiss the cardboard...put both cardboards together..and u get a whole lip!
and i remember mel telling me that her parents' one was perfect=)
oh and i just love the whole crowd at mel's place every xmas!
it just brings out the whole mood of xmas!
esp with all the lovely cute little kids running ard! gosh i lurve them all!

xmas has never ever been so fun for me..
well mainly becos my parents arent really "party" people and they dont lyk such large crowds and stuff..so usually..xmas eve will just involve lazing ard at home..pratically lyk any other day..
so im glad i met mel!=)

This marks another year has gone by,
and another year of fabulous, great, exciting, joyful, splendid
and all other wonderful words to describe my friendship with Gina.

most of our history have been written by mel already..=(
k heres it..
what makes the friendship that i share with mel so special=)
well to begin with..
the trust btw us..(which is smth i find the most important)
i never ever have to worry bt my secrets being let out by her..and i hope its the same for her too...
we understand eachother perfectly well w/o even needing to explain further..
she knws exactly what mood im in at tt moment and she knws how to suit it perfectly well(and im really grateful for that)=)
she can sense it when im in a bad mood and she'll just let me be by myself..(it may seem nth great but well, i dont usually reveal my emotions that easily..so even when im in a bad mood.."normal" people cant tell..but melissa is special!)
we laugh at almost pratically everything! and most stuff that we laugh at can only be understood by the 2 of us...others will just go "huh?" and we'll just keep on laughing! which is why some poeple just cant stand us..
she's one of the very few who has seen the other side of me..as u can see..usually im lyk very crappy and rubbishy and stuff...but beneath that..im not really lyk that..and i think so far only mel and jiahao have seen tt side of me=)
we tell each other everything and she's always the first person ill think of whenever ive got a piece of gd or bad or wadeva news! rem tt time when i got in for ogl..haha..she was the first person i called! sorry jiahao! hope ure not feeling jealous! lol!
theres just so much that has been said btw us w/o us even having to literally say it out loud..ok..maybe u wont understand what im trying to say but nvm...
we never ever have to put up a front when we're with each other..i can say whatever that comes to my mind and i dont have to worry bt how she will think bt me!
lastly..she's the joy in my life..may seem lame or mushy but trust me...i dont knw what ill ever do w/o her being ard...oh no..this is sounding abit lesbianish..lol..dont worry! we're straight people!

Remember tt ice cream spoon in that picture?=) to others, it may just be a normal plastic pink ice cream spoon..but to us..its smth special..haha..that day we discovered tt special yummy finger licking flavour! lol!

The next and last performance we got to do before we left TKSS for good-
Fame.
For Speech Day.
In secondary 4.
It was a Blast.
Had fun with practises and the performance itself.

It was in Secondary 2.

I was acting the Malay contestant.
Gina was the English contestant.

She, obviously won the Beauty Pageant.
It was meant to produce a Racial Harmony effect.

You dont wanna know how horribly dirty and ugly it looked..

Then came the Butterfly keychain from Ripcurl.
one was pink and the other was blue.
We couldn't make up our minds.
So we kinda juz anyhow switch the bags and settled with one.
Mine Pink, hers Blue.
We had it for another 1 year?
yeap.
It was a rubbery material kinda keychain.


Next, we got another Butterfly keychain from Esprit this time.
It's made of metal.
There were 2 colours- Blue and Pink.
However, we both lyked the Blue one.
Colour combi nicer.
So, we both got the same one.
Nice Nice.

the necklace and the keychain she juz bought from Shanghai for me :)
